"Probably one of the most recent releases to come about on this blog and within my library. I've never seen a group who has been as open and modest as these guys are. As an album with an official description of, "Separation Anxiety was written in the aftermath of a relationship where my partner taught me that I was tremendously broken in ways I refused to acknowledge", there's a level of earnestness and intimacy bound to its contents. Honesty, brutal, undiluted honesty. To further quote them, "this album is a story about progression, becoming whole, and taking responsibility to not carry on the same mistakes". There is good reason this has become one of my favorite albums, and favorite bands. Hence, I've Been Skipping the Bus, but This Day Pass Is Burning a Hole in My Pocket is my top 5 of all time. Nostalgic and longing for the revival of MCR-era music, their debut opens the gateway for more brilliancy to come."
