"I can't even call what genre it is. It's a sick mix of metalcore, deathcore, nu metal, post-hardcore (sometimes) and groove metal. Heavy af, despite it's not any -death like stuff, but the vibe, album cover art and lyrics make you feel like it's kickass deathcore-like stuff. Actually lyrics aren't so original (sometimes even stupid imo), but it works damn good in such mix of pain and aggression. In their next album, 'Книга Мёртвых' (Book of Dead) they improved their songwriting so much, but for me 'Неизбежность' is still their best work through all the years."

1) В наших сердцах
2) Нет милосердия
3) Завтра не будет
4) Право решать
5) Умытые кровью
6) Последний рассвет

"It's band from my hometown, Cherepovets, Vologda Region. I remember how much and pleasantly I was surprised when I discovered them in 2015, I saw them live at least 10 times. Their music sounds like Tragedy suddenly made a collab with Marschak, such a mix of new school crust punk and screamo. Guys ironically describe their style like 'true emo black metal.'"

Autoscan - 2007 - Autoscan

Download (mp3) . Listen on YT
1) Intro
2) Autoscan
3) Your Heart
4) History of Fall
5) I Wrote Pictures

"A hidden gem from russian metalcore scene, legendary band from melodic metalcore/deathcore underground. In general, I adore 2000's metalcore because it has incredible organically and beautiful contrast between soft emo-like riffs and clean vocals, and brutal kickass breakdowns, diss riffs, high screams and pig squeals. This band does it perfectly. In this case, they reminded me Curse at 27 and early The Devil Wears Prada."

Austere - 2009 - To Lay Like Old Ashes

Download (mp3) . Listen on YT
1) Down
2) To Fade With The Dusk
3) This Dreadful Emptiness
4) To Lay Like Old Ashes
5) Just For A Moment...
6) Coma II

"My most favorite DSBM album ever. I posted their the side project a few months ago, the Gray Waters. And even in their BM stuff, they sound emo af. They reveal black metal from a more sensual, gentle and beautiful side, abandoning the brutality and pathos side of this genre."

11) Pollution
12) Sylca
13) Intolerance (Ignorance III)
14) De Rebus Que Gerunter
15) Outro

"One of my most favorite metalcore bands and their first album. They went a long way from 1997, when they started as Converge-like oldschool metalcore band, to a moden metalcore flagman in 2000's. When I showed this album to one my friend, he said it sounds like blackened thrash metal. Personally I confide it pretty similar to screamo and emoviolence. Raw guitars, maximally hysterical screams, DIY mastering in general. Here everything is perfect."

"The extremely talented band from my hometown which I suddenly discovered when I almost accidentally came to the gig where they performed. They play in pretty wide genre range, from mall emo and pop punk to metalcore and chaotic hardcore – and, i have to day, do it great in any style. This is my compilation of their singles and demos what i found on their VK. They also have 4 tracks EP, but guys asked me to not upload it, and I understand it. You anyway can find it on their official pages on VK, SoundCloud and any streaming platform. Please, support them, they really deserve it!"

13) Hidden Instrumental Track

"If you ask me the best Norma Jean album, without any doubts I'll call this one and Redeemer. Despite Bless the Martyr was really good, since O God the Aftermath their music became much more interesting and rich in songwriting terms. This album sounds like Botch tried to play sludge metal, such a perfect mix. It contains songs full of chaos and badass dissonant breakdowns, songs full of almost post hardcore hysteria and meditative sludge/post metal ballads at the same time, embracing incredibly wide emotional specter. By the way, Shaun Luu is one of the best sludge metal songs ever made, sadly it doesn't available on any streaming platforms. Also pretty incredible that fact what they still make great new music through all the years, without any mediocre self-copying (hello, Architects) and major genre changes. I can call really few bands what could do that."

1) Prelude
2) Say Goodbye
3) Below the Ever Setting Sun
4) The Truth in Your Eyes
5) Broken

"Remember that time when Black Metal artists had emo side projects? I remember, miss that time. Dude from my favorite Depressive Suicidal Black Metal band, Austere, started Grey Waters in 2006 and recorded a couple of demos, which, sadly, have been lost. In 2009 they released this EP Below the Ever Setting Sun. They had plan to release a LP and it was almost done, but for unknown reasons it was canceled. In 2012 band broke up. I used to listen it in 2014 almost every day and now i suddenly remembered about it and it was like a breathe of fresh air. Tearful riffs, suffering clean vocals, walls of delayed guitars - everything is perfect on this record. Such a band we lost..."
